My wearable art - Your Goddess Wrap

It started in New York City. Coming from Europe where we don't have heavy air conditioning everywhere I couldn't get used to ice cold air in stores, the subway, everywhere.... and hot air outside! Instead of putting on sweaters,

I knitted the first "goddess wrap"! Practical, yes! Beautiful, yes! In the subway, I wrapped it around, outside I took it off easily and slipped it into my purse. And, people started ordering whenever I had my wrap on, wherever I went.

They are fun, they are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of art that you can wear or decorate in your home. I never make the same wrap again. I use quality yarns, such as silks, cottons, bamboo yarns, wool, linen, chenille, soy yarns, some metallic yarns, microfibers, viscose, blends and all kinds of novelty yarns. I choose them by the way they feel. Sometimes, I see a yarn that reminds me of seaweed, and I add it to my collection. I know that one day I will need exactly this yarn, and if it is only for a few stitches...

As for my paintings, my goddess wraps happen in the moment. I do not have a pattern. They are abstract landscapes from the soul, for the soul. When I take a commission, you can tell me which colors you don't like, and I will respect that. At the same time, I take my artistic freedom! If I feel the 'pull' to add a certain color, I will do so. It might only be a small area. So far, it has always worked out perfectly! Even if you, let's say, don't want green, believe me there is this green and that green, tons of different hues and textures. Even the texture of a yarn has an influence on how you perceive the color! And in the end, it is the entire composition that makes the piece. It has never happened, but if you don't like your wrap you can send it back to me, provided it is in impeccable condition of course. I have seen transformations happening in a woman's being when she found her goddess wrap! The Joy that she is expressing is a true gift for me!

I enjoy making them. Actually, it is very meditative. You can order a triangle shape or a rectangle (stole) shape. It takes me about 6 to 8 weeks to finish a goddess wrap. Would you like to order your's? Contact me, and I am happy to make one for you.
